Our Purpose

Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) is governed by the ASI Board of Directors. The ASI Board of Directors and professional staff manage the day-to-day operations of the corporation, providing CPP students, faculty, and staff dynamic programs and services. The purpose of the election is to elect student leaders composed of the ASI President, Vice President, and Senators that sit on the ASI Board of Directors in Student Government. Student Government Elections occur annually in spring semester online.

This voting body consists of President, Vice President, Senators to represent each of the 8 colleges (College of Agriculture, College of Business, Collins College of Hospitality Management, College of Education and Integrative Studies, College of Engineering, College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences, College of Environmental Design, and College of Science) and a Senator to represent each of the 4 at-large councils (Student Interest Council, Greek Council, Interhall Council, and Multicultural Council). These students represent and serve you at the campus administration and CSU level, from lobbying on your behalf with state legislators to advocating for campus services. Your Student Leaders also help decide how to spend your ASI fees, which are used to fund programs, services, and student organizations.
