With the introduction of many new students to Cal Poly Pomona, we would also like to introduce the newest coffee spot at the Bronco Student Center (BSC, Bldg. 35): Saddles Cafe. Opening where Peet’s Coffee used to be located in the Center Court, all visitors of the BSC will be able to grab snacks and refreshments starting this fall semester.
“What’s on the menu,” you ask? Saddles Cafe proudly serves Starbucks brand products, which include coffee and tea beverages as well as a variety of pastries. This cafe introduces their special panini menu, which is for students and staff alike that need a quick snack on the go. The best part is that these paninis incorporate freshly grown produce from right here at Cal Poly Pomona.
Cal Poly Pomona Foundation’s marketing department wanted students to get a say in what the new cafe would be named, so they hosted a contest where students had the chance to submit their ideas for names. Thus, bringing to life the name “Saddles Cafe,” which was selected as a tribute to the W. K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Center.
