It is once again time for the Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) Student Government Elections! Whether you are interested in putting your name in the race to be an ASI Student Leader or want to learn more about how and when to cast your vote, we are here to provide you with all the information on the 2024 ASI Elections.

Want to run for Student Government?

Be the change we need, Be the voice we deserve. Submit your application for ASI Student Government by Feb. 9!

ASI Student Leaders advocate for the interests of Cal Poly Pomona (CPP) students and serve on ASI’s Board of Directors. They have the unique opportunity to have a say in decisions that affect CPP students and the campus. In past years, ASI Student Leaders have advocated for long-lasting changes to CPP, including the construction of the Bronco Recreation and Intramural Complex (BRIC) as well as the implementation of CPP’s on-campus food pantry, the Poly Pantry.

Positions available to run for include ASI President, ASI Vice President, and 12 Senator positions. Senators align with each of CPP’s eight colleges and four councils (Inter-Hall, Multicultural, Greek, and Student Interest.)

Candidate Info Sessions:

Tuesday, January 23 and Thursday, February 1, in person at the BSC, Student Government Office (Bldg. 35-1339) from noon – 1:00 p.m.

Applications for ASI Student Government OPEN:

Monday, January 29 at 9 a.m.

Applications for ASI Student Government CLOSE:

Friday, February 9 at 11:30 p.m.

To ensure you’re voting for the candidates you think will best represent you as a CPP student, making an informed decision is essential. Check back to our ASI Elections LinkTree for the Voter Information Guide, where you will find the names and running statements for each candidate. Meeting the candidates in person is the best way to connect with the potential Student Leaders, which is why candidate events will take place the week before voting, March 19-21. At these events, expect to mingle with the candidates, ask them the questions you need the answers to, and enjoy free food and giveaways.

How, when, and where to vote

Voting in the ASI Elections is quick, easy, and can be done from your phone! Voting will take place online March 25 at 7 a.m. – March 28 at 7 a.m. via myBAR. An email will be sent to your CPP email to cast your vote. Voting for your student advocates is a way to let your voice be heard, as the future of CPP is influenced by ASI Student Leaders!

Finally, the winners will be announced, and you’ll be able to meet the 2024-2025 Student Leaders at the Elections Reveal Party on Thursday, March 28 from noon to 1 p.m. at University Park! Register HERE!
