Outside of Bronco Recreation and Intramural Complex

Were you a Cal Poly Pomona (CPP) student enrolled in summer 2020, fall 2020, and/or spring 2021? We have great news! You are eligible for complimentary membership to make up for the semesters when the Bronco Recreation and Intramural Complex (BRIC), Bldg. 42 was closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prior to its closure on March 14, 2020, the BRIC was serving almost 20,000 active student members. Due to the BRIC’s temporary closure, Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) staff adjusted and developed programs to support the students in the new virtual environment. By following the guidelines from the State of California and Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, they created an operating model for the BRIC to do so by the state, county, and university.

On December 10, 2020, the ASI Board of Directors voted unanimously in favor of the BRIC COVID Closure Credit (BC3) membership for CPP students enrolled during closure due to COVID-19, with an opportunity for amendments. For students who incurred the ASI Facilities & Operations Fee during summer 2020, fall 2020, and/or spring 2021 and could not access the BRIC during those terms, we are extending the following offer:

Any current or former CPP student eligible for the BC3 (eligibility requirements listed below) may redeem a complimentary membership term (fall, spring, or summer) equivalent to the number of semesters enrolled during the closure due to COVID-19 – summer 2020, fall 2020, and spring 2021. This credit will expire June 30, 2030, and does not need to be used in consecutive terms. Once redeemed, there are no refunds.
