Cal Poly Pomona is home to one of the largest pumpkin patches in California. With more than 40 thousand pumpkins and lots to do, Fall at the Farm was sure to bring in the crowds! The Bronco Events and Activities Team (BEAT) hosted hundreds of CPP students, faculty, staff, alumni and their families on Oct. 10 at the AGRIscapes Pumpkin Patch and Farm Store (Bldg. 211).

Families picking out pumpkins
Not only was there pumpkin picking, petting farms and pony rides, this year’s event introduced new activities. Everyone was excited to see the new sunflower fields and navigate the night maze.

Fall isn’t the same without photos for Instagram. Attendees were able to pose for pictures in front of various backdrops including sunflowers, pumpkins, hay bales and so much more.

“I’ve gone [to the pumpkin patch] a couple times, especially for the Insta-worthy pictures,” said Vanessa Morales, senior biochemistry student. “It’s fun coming and spending quality time with friends.”

Students celebrated the start of fall with their friends and family. With Fall at the Farm, everyone created new memories and revisited old traditions.

“Honestly, I brought my little cousins here before when I went to Mt. Sac,” said first-year mathematics transfer student Silvia Torrico. “I decided to come again to continue the tradition of creating memories for my family.”
