Disneyland is undeniably the happiest place on earth, but that doesn’t necessarily mean going during a scheduled school break will make you the happiest person on earth. Unfortunately, it might just be the exact opposite—long lines, hot weather, screaming children… Alice would probably agree when I say that just isn’t my cup of tea.
Here is every feeling you’ll have about being at Disneyland if you plan on going during Spring Break.
Arriving to the parks and realizing going on a weekday doesn’t help because other schools are on Spring Break too.
Waiting several minutes just to enter the park.
Getting stuck walking behind huge families who like to walk 0.00001 miles an hour.
When you realize a large chunk of the park is under construction for the 60th Anniversary.
Getting stuck in line behind a couple who knows no boundaries when it comes to PDA.
Getting stuck in line, period.
Realizing the ride you’ve waited almost an hour for isn’t even going to be worth it.
Watching your favorite show… with a hundred screaming babies whose parents thought it would be a great idea to bring them to Disneyland even though they’ll have no memory of this trip.
Screaming babies in general.
When you discover that Frozen still reigns over the entire park even though it’s 90 degrees out, and no one wants to build a snowman.
Feeling like you’re about to have a heat stroke.
Being trampled by people who are rushing to cross the street before the parades start.
And even with all the horrible experiences throughout your day, you still fiercely stick by your opinion that Disneyland is indeed the happiest place on earth.
If you plan on visiting Disneyland this Spring Break, good luck. Remember to go to the Box Office in the Games Room, Etc. in the Bronco Student Center (BSC, Bldg. 35-1110) for discounted tickets, and read up on these tips for your Disneyland trip!
