School is back in session, and unfortunately, so are homework assignments, quizzes, exams and presentations. Though ringing in the school year also means getting to enjoy awesome things such as BroncoFusion, Hot Dog Caper, Think Pink Boxing, Speed Friending and more, it also means long hours studying for your classes (hopefully).

As students, we definitely know best that where you study makes your entire studying experience. No one wants to study at home, where your bed is working overtime trying to lure you back in. That overcrowded Starbucks that permanently smells like pumpkin spice probably isn’t your first choice either.

There’s no better place to get your study on than right here, on campus! If you have a gap between classes or simply want to cram for an exam, here are a few places you can stop by for your next study sesh:

Solaris Lounge (Bldg. 35-1611)

Conveniently located in the Bronco Student Center (BSC, Bldg. 35), Solaris Lounge is equipped to be the perfect haven for students. All furniture comes with a charging station for all your laptop, phone and tablet usage. Is all that crying over your homework making you hungry? Try out the newest eatery on campus, Hibachi-San, which is mere steps away from Solaris Lounge. If naps between chapters are your thing, then the sofas here will be too—kick back, relax and forget about how your future may or may not depend on this next exam grade. You’re A-okay in here.

The College of Business Administration (Bldg. 162-164)

I, for one, am green with envy over the students who have the privilege of having class in these buildings. Sure, the classrooms are shiny, new, clean and everything else good in the universe, but I’m jealous mostly because Einstein’s Bagels is hidden away here. You may be catching on by now—the best places are located by the best eateries. These days, I feel like studying burns more calories than being at the Bronco Recreation and Intramural Complex (BRIC, Bldg. 42), and I always find myself starved while hitting the books. So grab a table inside Einstein’s, a seat out in the quad or a nice empty room in the air conditioned buildings and enjoy a delicious bagel sandwich while you weep all over your notes.

The BRIC (Bldg. 42)

If you’re actually burning calories at our on-campus gym, and you need to get a quick assignment or online quiz done super fast, the BRIC has a handy dandy (and very comfy) lounge area outside the group fitness studios and on the pool deck for students who want to relax, hang out, study or watch the game pre- or post-workout. Sure, you may not want to have a full blown study session here, but look at it this way: the couches are cozy, you don’t have to fight for an open space and if things get a little too stressful, you can RECHARGE with a quick workout! Don’t think I forgot about our golden rule regarding food; Jamba Juice is right around the corner should you need a snack or some nutritious smoothies.

University Quad

If you’re looking for a place that will balance out the stress in your mind with some nice and natural tranquility, it’s time to grab your books, a blanket and some snacks and park it right in the middle of University Quad, outside the Campus Marketplace. Take a few hours to just relax in the shade, take in the scenery and enjoy our beautiful campus. Leave your laptops elsewhere because there aren’t going to be any sockets for you to plug your chargers into.
