What a lovely life we would live if we didn’t have to work. Sadly, that is not the case for all of us. On top of going to school full-time and juggling internships, many of us need to find time to work because we all have our own bills to pay. Well, if you’re in need of a job, look no further than right here at Cal Poly Pomona (CPP).

You’re already here

Let’s talk location. Unless you’re only taking online courses, your job on campus can literally be a stroll from your classes. No need to worry about having to rush out of class and beat the traffic to make it to work on time. It’s very convenient in the fact that it helps save on gas and saves you time, which means more money for you!

Flexible schedules

An amazing factor of having a job on campus is the fact that the campus works well with students’ schedules. Campus employers understand that your academics should be your top priority and will do what they can to accommodate working around your class schedule.

Knowing your campus

Getting a job on campus exposes you to many of the events and opportunities that the campus offers students like yourself. Depending on where you decide to work, you may even be a part of planning and executing these events. You also get accustomed to where things are on campus; for example, you might work inside of the Bronco Student Center (Bldg. 35) and get the chance to learn about all the departments within it.

Working on campus offers the chance for you to work alongside and get to know professionals from the university. You also get to know many students who you either work with or will server in various capacities.

Sense of pride

You don’t want to look back at your college years and only remember coming and going to class. You want to feel a sense of belonging here at CPP. Having a job gets you involved with the community, and once you start your journey at CPP, it’ll be one to remember.
