It’s that spooky time of year again. Yes, our favorite holiday is back: Halloween! But, we all know that it can be hard to get in the Halloween mood with the business of our everyday lives. That’s why we here at The Campus Crop want to give you a little guide to get those Halloween vibes.

How do you Pumpkin?

There are so many ways you can enjoy pumpkins during your favorite holiday. You can never go wrong with pumpkin carving with your friends or family. You can also hit the city to taste all the great foods and drinks that scream pumpkin. For other Halloween treats, check out “Halloween Treats That Are To Die For.”

Flicks

Get the popcorn ready and turn off the lights, it’s time for Halloween movies. When it comes to Halloween movies there are two options: spooky movies that have a happy ending and are family-friendly, or scary movies that’ll keep you up with nightmares. Family-friendly movies include some classics by Tim Burton such as “The Nightmare Before Christmas” and “Beetlejuice.” Or, be bold and choose movies with a little more horror and screams such as “The Ring” or “The Exorcist.”

Universal Halloween Horror Nights

Enjoy a good scare? You won’t be disappointed when you head out to Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights. If you’re up to it, walk through all the themed mazes offered such as “Poltergeist,” “Halloween 4- The Return Of Michael Myers,” “Stranger Things” and more. Speaking of “Stranger Things,” check out the specialized foods offered here. Also, get your discounted Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights tickets from the Games Room Etc. (Bldg. 35-1110) box office.

Get Dressed Up

What other day of the year are you allowed to dress up as anything you want without being judged? Costumes allow you to dress up as your favorite characters from movies and shows, and nothing screams Halloween more than seeing everyone all dressed up. Head out with the squad and go shopping for costumes, or you can be creative with some DIY costumes. For more info on DIY costumes, check out The Campus Crop’s “Get Crafty With These DIY Halloween Costumes.”
