Salt & Straw, originating from Portland, Oregon, is known for their unique array of ice cream flavor combinations such as Pear and Blue Cheese and Strawberry Honey Balsamic with black pepper. Take your love for avocados to the next level by trying their Oaxacan Chocolate Fudge and Avocado and Avocado and Strawberry Sherbet. Rich ribbons of chocolate fudge and sweet notes from strawberries add a surprising burst of flavor to both of these rich, creamy avocado ice cream favorites. There are five locations in Los Angeles alone, so whenever you find yourself in L.A. with a fellow avocado lover, be sure to try out both of these flavors.
Tastea
Maybe you love avocados so much that you want to drink them in liquid form. Well, you’re in luck because the Avocado Avalanche is a customer favorite at Tastea! Blended with fresh avocados, this smoothie is rich and creamy but light and refreshing at the same time. Since it’s very lightly sweetened, those with a sweet tooth might want to add in honey boba, jellies or fruit bits. There are 10 locations in California, so be sure to check their website to see the closest one near you.
Sugar Shack Cafe
Sugar Shack Cafe has been the true breakfast go-to in downtown Huntington Beach since 1967 from locals and tourists alike. This family-owned café does not skimp on the avocado. Try the Main Street Omelette, made with three eggs and loaded with tons of avocado, as well as mushroom, sprouts, onions and cheese. If that’s too heavy for you, try out the Main Street breakfast burrito which has the same ingredients but with salsa. These dishes also come with hash browns and a side, so bring your appetite!
Superba Food + Bread
Avocado toast has been all the rage in recent years, some millennials even consider it to be an art form. Behold, Superba Food + Bread, a half bakery/half cafe which is home to one of the best avocado toasts in Los Angeles. Located just a few blocks from the Venice Beach Boardwalk, you’ll enjoy the coastal breeze as you devour your avocado toast in its chic farm-meets-warehouse interior. What sets their avo toast apart from other hip joints is their perfect mix of ingredients: a generous smear of avocado, watermelon radish, pickled onion, flax and sesame. The L.A. Times says, “Superba wins the avocado-on-toast competition, thanks to pickled fresno chilis and sea salt, which give the creamy avocado enough tang and prickle to elevate it beyond basic snack.”
Dominique Ansel Bakery

This one-of-a-kind ice cream sandwich is made with avocado olive oil ice cream, ricotta mascarpone ice cream and shortbread with various toppings complete in a rose-like form.
