Faculty/Staff Appreciation Night, which takes place every winter quarter during basketball season, has become a tradition with the athletics department. Through this tradition, the department has recognized more than 260 faculty and staff members with this honor.

“This year, Jessica Martinez from ASI was recognized for her outstanding guidance, coordination and expertise to the athletics department, and for her support to student-athletes,” said Scott Tsuji, Assistant Athletics Director of Student Services and Coordinator of Faculty/Staff Appreciation Day.

The nomination process consisted of select student-athletes and members of the athletics department nominating professors and staff members who motivated, influenced and supported the student-athlete experience.

“It has always been my pleasure to work in support of the CPP Intercollegiate Athletics, but to be recognized for my contributions like this is an honor,” said Martinez. “It is amazing what can be accomplished when we all work together as a team.”
