Lifeguard Instructor Certification  

Become an American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor! The primary purpose of the American Red Cross Basic Lifeguarding Instructor Course is to train instructors to teach the basic-level American Red Cross Lifeguarding courses.

Participants must hold a current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification.

The course material will be conducted through a blended learning environment which consists of online modules and in-person sections. To be certified, participants must attend all class sections, complete the final skills scenarios, and pass the written exam. Certification is not guaranteed.

Once registered, you will receive an email from aquatics@cpp.edu. Please allow up to 72 hours to receive information from aquatics@cpp.edu regarding the next steps after registration.

Water Safety Instructor Certification

The purpose of the American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor course is to train instructor candidates to teach courses and presentations in the American Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety program by developing their understanding of how to use the course materials, how to conduct training sessions, and how to evaluate participants’ progress.

The course material will be conducted through a blended learning environment which consists of online modules and in-person sections. To be certified, participants must attend all class sections, complete the final skills scenarios, and pass the written exam. Certification is not guaranteed.

CPR for the Professional Rescuers Instructor Certification

The primary purpose of the American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers Instructor Course is to train instructors to teach the basic-level American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers courses.
