About The Children’s Center
Operating under the administration and support of Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) and Cal Poly Pomona University, we provide quality preschool services for campus student-parents, faculty, staff, alumni and community.
What We Offer
We offer a developmental program for young children ages 2-5 and potty trained. We use a combination of teacher directed and child initiated activities, and maintain a low teacher/child ratio. Children receive frequent, positive and warm interactions from the staff. We are licensed by the California State Department of Social Services and Community Care Licensing for 71 children. The center operates on a non-discriminatory basis.
Our Goals & Mission
The goal of our program is to get children prepared for school by providing the necessary skills in the areas of literacy, math and science. Various opportunities are provided for self expression, creativity, communication, exploration and friendships. Every child is valued as an individual learner and provided with a diverse and responsive environment. The Children’s Center strives to assist Cal Poly Pomona student-parents, faculty, staff, alumni and the community with high quality, convenient and affordable preschool services and an enrichment program for school-age children, in a safe, clean and educational environment.
