Healthy Habits: Stress & College Students

Description

Is school one of your main stressors? We hear you! In this workshop, we will introduce basic components of identifying stressors and practicing solutions to ensure the best student experience you can have! If you’re ready to develop positive habits, understand and overcome challenges, and take an active approach to address perceived blockages, you are ready for Healthy Habits! Mindful Broncos

Description

Mindfulness –the ability to focus on being intensely aware of what you’re sensing and feeling in the moment, without interpretation or judgment.

You may have heard of the many benefits of practicing mindfulness but sitting down to meditate can be quite challenging. In these workshops, you’ll learn unique ways on how you can practice mindfulness in everyday life. We’ll go beyond seated meditation and discuss how you can achieve this through movement, out in nature, or even in the classroom. Join us for a series of group sessions where you’ll learn actionable steps you can take to implement mindfulness practice into your daily routine.

Each session will be co-facilitated by one of our fitness professionals and a CAPS counselor. Sessions do not have to be attended in succession. Healthy Habits: Mindfulness & Productivity

Description

Did you know that mindfulness isn’t about attempting to stop thoughts from entering the brain, but instead is about being aware when a thought has entered the mind and acknowledging it without judgment? When we make mindfulness a daily practice, we’re essentially shifting gears from seeing our thoughts as issues, to seeing our thoughts as opportunities. At this workshop, you’ll learn how to overpower procrastination, decrease distractions, enhance problem-solving skills, and ignite your motivation through mindfulness. Yoga Workshops

Description

Step onto the mat and get ready to improve your strength and mobility through yoga. We will use yoga poses and breath to explore range of motion, balance, strength, and mobility through the body. Description
