Outdoor Adventures

Climbing, hiking, biking, kayaks, snowshoes and more. ASI Campus Recreation is working to provide its student population with Adventures that will last a lifetime. Focusing on outdoor education and rewarding experiences, we offer a wide array of adventures including local trips to places like Joshua Tree National Park and the High Sierras. Winter Hike Mt. Baldy

The Winter Hike Mt. Baldy trip will focus on preparation, travel techniques, and navigation within the San Gabriel National Forest, specifically out of the Manker Flats trail head below Mt. Baldy. Additional education centered around meteorology, preparation, and LNT will be offered to CPP students.

Transportation, food and equipment will be provided. Meet at the BRIC.

Mt. Baldy Winter Camping

The Mt. Baldy Winter Camping trip will focus on preparation, travel techniques, and navigation within the San Gabriel National Forest, specifically out of the Ice House Canyon trail head below Mt. Baldy. Additional education centered around meteorology, preparation, and LNT will be offered to CPP students.

Alpinist Snow Skills Day Mt. Baldy

Mt Baldy: Alpinist Snow Skills Day will deliver a “hands-on” experiential outdoor snow trip on Mt. Baldy to practice the skills learned in the Alpine instructional clinics.

Transportation, food and equipment will be provided. Meet at the BRIC.

The Sport Climber: New Jack City

Come join Adventures on a sport climbing trip to New Jack City (also known as Sawtooth Canyon), a well known sport climbing area with climbing grades for all levels of climbing skill and ability.

Spring Break – The Alpinist Eastern Sierra

Join Adventures on a trip of a lifetime to the Eastern Sierra. use you newly attained skills though the Alpinist workshops and Baldy snow skills day to conquer some big objectives in the Eastern Sierras!

Transportation, food and equipment will be provided. Meet at the BRIC.
