Primitive Skills Overnight

Description

An overnight backpacking trip in the Cucamonga wilderness to put into practice primitive skills. Topics will include: preparation and wilderness survival theory, tarpitecture and camp craft, cord making, knots and lashings, fire starting theory and practice, net and basket making (food gathering tools), water gathering and filtration, natural glue making and sewing (via natural materials for minor repairs), and primitive navigation through reading the stars, plants, and other natural phenomena.

Bonelli Park: Kayaking & Paddle Boarding

Description

This adventurous program will include kayaking instruction at the local Bonelli Park. We will begin with basic kayaking education and follow with paddling around the lake, and finishing with a picnic at a nearby cove. Ready to Enjoy some sand, sun, and water. Registration opens on 3/26 at 6:00am and closes on 5/23 at 11:59pm.
