The Bronco Events and Activities Team (BEAT) has your schedule jam-packed for the rest of the quarter as they present events to keep you entertained when you’re not hitting the books.

Iron Man 3

Movie Night: Iron Man 3

On Thursday, October 17, BEAT will be featuring the movie Iron Man 3 in Ursa Major, in the BSC from 7 – 10 p.m. There will be free popcorn and water. Best of all, you don’t even have to leave campus to get the full movie experience…for free!


Murder Mystery Dinner

What’s Halloween without your classic Murder Mystery Dinner? Join BEAT on Wednesday, October 23 from 6 – 9 p.m. at Kellogg Ranch. Dress to impress and  enjoy a complimentary three-course meal. The acting company Sharpo will be there to perform for the event as well. Tickets are $30 a person, and space is limited, so make sure you get your tickets before they sell out. They are being sold in the Game Room Etc. Will you be able to solve the mystery?

Drag Bingo

Hamburger Mary’s company is at it again, and this time, Roxy will be strutting her stuff on stage. Come for a sassy-good time at Drag Bingo on Thursday, October 24 in Ursa Major from 7-9 p.m. There will be 10 sets of bingo and everyone gets a prize! Talk about a win, win situation.


Humans v. Zombies

The day is getting closer. Are you up for the challenge? On Wednesday, October 30, the battle between the dead and the undead will begin. Game orientation meeting dates are coming up, check out this story on the Campus Crop for the details. The game will end on November 7. You won’t want to miss it.

Halloween Haunt

Also on Wednesday, October 30, the day before Halloween, BEAT is throwing a Halloween Haunt. From 4-7 p.m, terror trucks, which are like mini haunted houses on wheels, will be on campus, waiting for those who dare to enter. Then, from 7 – 9 p.m, “The Conjuring” will be playing in Ursa Major.

The showing of “The Conjuring” will also be the start of the six-day Movie Fest. More information to come. Be prepared for a night of horror.

Dia de los Muertos

On November 1, CPP will host its annual Dia de los Muertos themed First Friday event. Come out to University Park with your candles, skull candies and face paint. You won’t want to miss the display of colorful and festive alters! More details are on the way.

Event Planning 101

Want to plan an event for your club or organization, but not sure where to begin? No worries, BEAT has you covered! Come to their informational meeting on November 14 to find out how to book vendors and keep itinerary organization. Not involved in a club? Come anyway, Everyone is welcome, and you might learn some useful information. The meeting will be held in the BSC’s Centaurus during U-hour.

Midnight Madness

Of course we can’t forget about the infamous Midnight Madness event right before finals on December 6th. Details are still underway, but stay tuned and you’ll find out the theme for this quarter and information on the fun activities offered.
