Hip-hop artist B.o.B will be headlining this year’s BroncoFusion concert sponsored by Cal Poly Pomona’s Associated Students, Inc. on Friday, Sept. 25. You might remember his songs “Airplanes” and “So Good”!
The concert is free to all CPP students and will begin at 7 p.m. at Bronco Commons, located by the Residential Suites and the Bronco Recreation and Intramural Complex (BRIC, Bldg. 42).
With the B.o.B show fast approaching, we’ll break down everything CPP students need to know for a seamless and enjoyable experience!
Check-in for the concert begins at 4 p.m. at the Bronco Bookstore (Bldg. 66). Non-student guests must check in with the CPP student who registered them.
BRIC Members who have registered for the concert can also register and purchase a day pass fee of $15 for one non-student guest they’d like to bring to the BRIC pool party (must be age 18+) following the concert.
The BRIC pool party, a substance-free environment, will be held from 10 p.m. to midnight and will include a DJ, dance party, swimming, water basketball and volleyball, and deck games. Don’t forget to bring your swimsuits!
To purchase a day pass for guests, students must be present with their guest and make their purchase at BRIC Member Services. Those who have purchased a day-pass before 10 p.m. may use this pass to work out at the BRIC for the rest of the weekend (Sept. 25 to Sept. 27).
From 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., students can head to the BRIC to obtain a “Fast Pass” wristband for the BRIC pool party. The “Fast Pass” is your ticket to ditching the long lines into the party. Remember, students may only bring their one registered guest to the pool party.
On the day of the BroncoFusion concert, the BRIC will close at 8 p.m. and reopen after the performance at 10 p.m. Members with “Fast Pass” wristbands will be directed straight to the pool party, while students not registered for the BRIC may still do so at BRIC Member Services.
BroncoFusion is an annual day-long event held the day before fall quarter begins and provides a chance for new and returning students to enjoy campus life and learn about university resources. Information booths, club fairs and food-truck festivals are just a few of the events offered.
