University-Wide Committees Over fifty committees request student representation from ASI throughout the academic year. The ASI President receives a formal request from the committee, meets with students who have turned in an application and appoints a student whose interests match the purpose of the committee’s charge. The types of committees vary in their purpose to include such topics as finance, academics, athletics, public safety, landscape and architecture, enrollment, advising, IT Governance, personnel search and performance reviews. This is a great way to learn first-hand how university business is conducted and give the student perspective on important topics. It is appropriate to include in a job resume.
