CPR Standard Courses

Overview

This is an Entry Level course that teaches CPR/AED + First Aid for the Lay Responder. Participants will learn how to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies and how to respond to respiratory and cardiac emergencies for victims about 12 years and older. At the end of the course, participants will receive a valid 2 year Certification with American Red Cross.

Overview

This is an Advanced Level course that teaches CPR/AED for the Professional Rescue, First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen. At the end of the course, participants will receive a valid 2 year Certification with American Red Cross.

Basic Life Support Course

Safety Response Certifications Basic Life Support

Overview

Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) uses a scenario-based approach to develop the critical thinking and problem solving skills that drive better patient outcomes. Consistent with AHA Guidelines for CPR/ECC. Covers breathing and cardiac emergencies – including CPR, AED, and obstructed airway – for adult, child, and infant patients.

Title 22 (First Aid for Public Safety Personnel)

Title 22 Safety Certification Course

Overview

This course trains students in surveillance skills to help you recognize and prevent injuries, rescue skills in the water and on land, first aid training and CPR for the professional rescuer, as well as professional lifeguarding responsibilities.

Emergency Medical Responder

Overview

Emergency Medical Responders provide immediate lifesaving care to critical patients who access the emergency medical services system. EMRs have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide immediate lifesaving interventions while awaiting additional EMS resources to arrive. EMRs also provide assistance to higher-level personnel at the scene of emergencies and during transport. Emergency Medical Responders are a vital part of the comprehensive EMS response. Under medical oversight, Emergency Medical Responders perform basic interventions with minimal equipment.

Dates: Wednesdays between 1/11/17 and 2/1/17; Fridays between 1/13/17 and 1/27/17; and Saturdays between 1/21/17 and 2/11/17
