Outdoor Adventures

Climbing, hiking, biking, kayaks, snowshoes and more. ASI Campus Recreation is working to provide its student population with Adventures that will last a lifetime. Focusing on outdoor education and rewarding experiences, we offer a wide array of adventures including local trips to places like Joshua Tree National Park and the High Sierras. Paddle, Yoga & Picnic at Bonelli Park

Bonelli Paddle Picnic and Yoga

This program will include yoga and kayak instruction. It will be a local experience at Lake Bonelli. Begin in the morning by performing yoga, transition into paddling across the lake, stopping to picnic at a cove. Finishing the loop and returning to cars to pack up and head back to Cal Poly.

Claremont Wilderness Day Hike

An experience based outdoor trip where students are lead on a hike through the beautiful scenery of Claremont Wilderness. They will be educated about the native plants and animals of the area, and explore the diverse ecosystem.

Joshua Tree Overnight: The Traditional Climbing Experience

This trip will focus heavily on trad climbing in Joshua Tree including placing and removing trad protection, building anchors, and leading trad. It will include an overnight in Joshua Tree.

Catalina Island Kayaking Overnight

Students will take a boat to Catalina Island, spend the day snorkeling, hiking and kayaking, and sleep on the boat. Transportation, food and equipment will be provided.
