It’s probable many of you have made the ultimate New Year’s resolution list and at the top of that list includes getting more exercise. To help assist in that fitness goal, read into all the activities and amenities the Bronco Fitness Center (BFC) has to offer.
Partake in winter Intramural Sports: volleyball, Hantis, basketball — the sign up period is now until Jan. 16. Additional players participating in games must be registered by Feb. 9.
Make sure to have the minimum amount of players for your team created by Thursday, Jan. 16. The minimum amount of players on a team for volleyball is six, Hantis is two and basketball is five.
Interested but need a team? No worries, join as a free agent and be placed on a team.
Captain’s meetings are Jan. 16 from 3-5 p.m. in Centaurus (room 1329) and Jan. 17 from 2-4 p.m. in Orion AB (room 2319/2317) in the Bronco Student Center. All captains and free agents must attend one of these meetings to participate.

New Year’s resolution got you motivated? Get yourself a personal trainer in the BFC to help you meet your 2014 goals- one session for $35, five sessions for $150, and 10 sessions for $260. Each personal training session is 60 minutes. Stay motivated and learn how to reach and maintain your goals!
Become a BFC Member
Affordable and convenient fitness, and students only pay $18 per month. Faculty and staff pay $28 per month, while affiliates pay $31 per month. You’ll also receive a free health assessment complimentary to registration.
As of Jan. 6, the BFC has group exercise classes available Monday through Thursday. Check out the Zumba, yoga, Spinning, P90X, and T-25 workout sessions. Take a class to focus on your core, tone up, trim down and more. For full class descriptions and schedule, Click Here.
Every Monday from 12:10-12:50 p.m. and 5:10-5:50 p.m. the Mile Monday group gathers at the BFC to walk or jog one mile. Program starts on Jan. 13. The more Mile Mondays you attend, the more prizes you could win! Open to all students, faculty and staff, just remember to bring your Bronco ID. You can sign up at any time.
Atten-tion! This seven-week intensity workout program starts from Jan. 22 and continues to Mar. 6. Twice a week you can attend an individually paced high intensity workout class with a supportive group environment. Indoor class schedule is Tuesday and Thursday from noon-12:45 p.m. The outdoor schedule is Monday and Wednesday from 5:30-6:15 p.m. Cost for BFC members is $40 and $50 for non-members. A pre and post free health assessment is included.
Bronco Fitness Center Winter Hours
Want to just stop by and workout? Here are the BFC hours! Monday-Thursday from 6:30 a.m. – midnight. Friday from 6:30 a.m. – 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday from 1 – 7 p.m. From Mar. 24-28, hours are 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. The facility is closed on Jan. 20., Mar. 22-23, 29-30, Apr. 1 and May 26.
Bronco Swim: New hours
Take a dip in the new heated pool from Monday-Thursday 11:30 a.m.-1: 30 p.m. beginning Jan. 6 until Mar. 14. Available to all Bronco Fitness Center members. Not a member? Obtain a day pass! CPP community members pay $5, and outside guests pay $10.
With all the convenient health and fitness opportunities located at the Bronco Fitness Center, we all have an opportunity to get fit, trim and toned for this new year. Start 2014 fresh and walk, jog or run with the Bronco Fitness Center, located in the Bronco Student Center (Building 35).
