On Thursday, Dec. 2, Cal Poly Pomona students got the chance to pie a president at the annual Rose Day previewing. Not only was this year’s CPP Rose Float on display for the campus community to see what’s in store for this year’s Tournament of Roses Parade, but attendees were also enticed to toss a plate full of whip cream at their fellow council president!
Sergio Hernandez, graduate intern for the Office of Student Life and Cultural Centers, said “Rose Day allows students the chance to get a glimpse at Cal Poly Pomona’s Rose Float entry before it is completed in its entirety. This day also raises money for the float design process as students, faculty and staff are able to purchase food and participate in fun activities.”
University Park was full of enthusiastic students, not to mention those who had whip cream and pie all over their hair, and was a nice way to celebrate Cal Poly Pomona’s tradition of the Rose Float design.
