Interested in assisting the management of the Associated Students, Inc. elections this year?
Erica Tang, ASI elections chair, is calling upon qualified students to apply for membership on the ASI Elections Committee.
If accepted, students will be formally introduced to ASI’s administration members and student government leaders while gaining knowledge about what each position exists for and what its holder does for Cal Poly Pomona.
What’s in it for you? Well, ASI has proven itself to be a useful entity on campus for students to diversify professional networks, build necessary and credible resume experiences, apply skills learned in the classroom to real-world situations, further cultivate skill sets and instill a sense of camaraderie and campus pride.
Students interested in applying for a committee position should download the application here and submit it to the Student Government office located on the first floor of the Bronco Student Center. Questions regarding the application process or committee responsibilities should be directed to Erica Tang at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Qualified students are those who:
1) Have good academic standing with the university
2) No outstanding issues with Judicial Affairs
3) Ability to meet weekly during Winter Quarter for one hour
4) Ability to meet weekly during Spring Quarter for one to two hours
5) Ability to attend the majority of Student Government Elections-related events during Spring Quarter
Interviews for committee positions will occur Nov. 26 through Nov. 30. ASI Elections Committee meetings will begin in early Winter Quarter 2013.
