BroncoFusion is a daylong event to welcome new students to Cal Poly Pomona. Several thousand incoming students will have a chance to explore the campus, connect with faculty, staff and other students, get a head start on finding their classes, learn about key academic support services, and learn about ways to get involved. The day’s event also includes a welcome mixer, interactive workshops, club and support services fair, and college connection activities. BroncoFusion culminates with a free evening concert at the new Bronco Commons.

Welcome Week—Sept. 19
Welcome Week is a 4-day residential orientation program designed to give students an exciting and educational introduction to the campus and the residential halls or the residential suites.

LGBT History Month—October 2010
Every October the Pride Center honors, educates, and celebrates LGBT History Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about the important roles that gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender persons hold in history. The LGBT History Month committee is a collaborative effort between the Pride Center and students involved on campus.

Fall Boot Camp—Oct. 11-Nov. 19
Get in shape! Join the Bronco Fitness Center’s Fall Boot Camp. This fun and engaging class will challenge you physically. This class will focus on circuit training, cardio training, core training and we will be utilizing several aspects of the university to train indoors as well as outdoors

Fall Intramural Sports—Oct. 18
Intramural sports provide Cal Poly Pomona students, faculty/staff, and alumni with opportunities to engage and interact in fair and safe recreational activities. Intramurals promote personal health, life satisfaction, a balanced human development and a sense of campus community and pride. Participants of all skill levels are welcome. Fall sports include volleyball, flag football, soccer and tennis.

Matt’s Run Memorial 5K—Oct. 16
With your participation in Matt’s 5K Run/Walk, you will help support the Matthew Myers Memorial Fund. Proceeds to the fund will help award annual scholarships to Cal Poly Pomona Students determined to walk their course in the midst of difficulties.

Nite Owl/ Midnight Madness—Dec. 6
During Nite Owl, the Bronco Student Center remains open 24/7 during the week of finals for students to have a place to study and prepare for their exams. Midnight Madness kicks the first night of Nite Owl off with free food, games entertainment for students to break free from the stress of finals week.
