Keepin’ it cool in Southern California

BSC

Stay cool this summer by getting discounted tickets at the Games Room Etc. to places throughout Southern California that can temporarily relieve you from the hot California sun.

If you want some wet and wild fun, the Games Room Etc. has discounted tickets to Raging Waters in San Dimas (for $26.99) and Hurricane Harbor in Valencia (for $23.99). The difference of each discounted price is $10 and $14, respectively. If you think about it, buying your tickets at the Games Room, Etc. is like saving an extra hour’s worth of money earned at your job or freeing up your funds to go see a movie.

Speaking of movies, did you know that during the 1930s and 1940s people would frequent movie theaters just to escape the sweltering summer heat? Even though movie ticket prices have been pumped up in the past few years, buying admission tickets through the Games Room, Etc. can help offset increased costs so you too can enjoy the relief.

A Regal Entertainment Group VIP ticket would normally cost $11 at the box office, but you can get one at the Games Room, Etc. for $7.50. Unrestricted Premier tickets, which also normally cost $11, can be bought through us for $8.50. The “Ultimate Premier Movie Pack,” which includes two premier movie tickets and a $10 concessions gift card, normally costs $32 but we have it available for $27.50.

If AMC is your theater of choice, Silver tickets normally costing $11 can be bought for $7 through the Games Room, Etc. Unrestricted Gold tickets normally costing $11 can be bought for $8.50. A “Movie Bundle” including two Gold tickets, two small sodas and one small popcorn usually cost $34.25 at the box office, but can be bought at the Games Room for $26.

Are you in the mood for live entertainment? Then enjoy jousting and good-old-fashioned Medieval combat at Medieval Times in Buena Park. Feast like a king and watch knights compete for the fair lady’s hand for $46.64 (adults) and $31.40 (kids). Normal admission is $57.95 and $35.95.

If you’re an animal lover, enthusiast or just think wildlife is simply amazing, visiting the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific and Sea World in San Diego are great ways to keep cool this summer – be it the enclosed, air-conditioned environment of an aquarium or getting splashed by a dolphin or orca whale.

Through the Games Room Etc., admission to the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific costs $20 for adults and $12 for children between 3 and 11-years-old. Normally, you’d be paying $25 and $13. Sea World admission itself normally costs $73 for adults and $65 for kids, but tickets can be bought for $50 adults and $49 for children at the Games Room, Etc.

For more information about tickets to other amusement parks (including Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm), visit asi.csupomona.edu/gamesroom and click on “Box Office,” or simply visit us on the first floor of the Bronco Student Center.
