Dance the night away for a good cause

Prom for a Cause

The Cal Poly Pomona Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU) and Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) are partnering up with three organizations to bring local awareness to the issue of human trafficking.

Prom for a Cause, a classy night of dinner and dancing, will be held on Thursday, May 3 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Kellogg West. Dress to impress and enjoy a lovely evening with your special someone or just a friend while swaying to the beats of first-year music student, Branden Vasquez, more popularly known as DJ 4.K.O.

Hear from three great organizations that support the fight against human trafficking and gain great knowledge and resources about the cause while enjoying delicious Little Italy-themed food prepared by Kellogg West.

Tickets are $15 for one person and $25 for couples. You can purchase them in the Games Room Etc. in the Bronco Student Center (BSC) – building 35, room 1110. All proceeds will go to the three organizations supporting this event: Oasis USA, CASE, and Traffic Free Pomona.

A representative of Oasis USA will talk about community outreach programs and CASE will feature a moving speech by a survivor of human trafficking. You can do your part with Traffic Free Pomona whom will host a “freedom bag” activity where attendees can put together a kit of resources to help girls and victims in need.
