How would you like to have the proper knowledge on executing fitness exercises and routines?
Do you need guidance on integrating yoga, boxing, dance and/ or martial arts moves into your workout?
Well we have classes that will assist in these endeavors! Campus Recreation would like to introduce to you Instructional Clinics.
The Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) Campus Recreation team will be holding instructional clinics at the Bronco Recreation and Intramural Complex, Monday through Thursday until December 5. No clinics Nov. 24-30.
Instructional clinics are designed to meet twice per week. Here you can learn a progressive skill in yoga, dance, boxing or martial arts throughout the quarter.
Intro to Boxing
Learn the basics of kicks, punches and movement patterns utilizing heavy bags and small equipment. Improve core conditioning and functional strength. This clinic focuses more on the technical skills of boxing and less on choreography. Participant must supply personal hand wraps. No previous experience required.
Mixed Martial Arts
This clinic will introduce basic skills such as striking, defense take downs, grappling, and submissions. Learn the styles of various forms from Muay Thai, Ju-Jitsu, and Boxing. Explore sparring, and controlled contact drills. The martial arts form is great for improved fitness, self-defense, or personal exploration. No previous experience required.
