BRIC Frequently Asked Questions

The Bronco Recreation and Intramural Complex (BRIC) is officially open for student use, and we know you have a few questions about it!

For your convenience, here is a list of frequently asked questions (FAQs) in which we have provided the answers to:

When can I register for the BRIC?
You may register for membership at the BRIC (Bldg. 42) during hours of operation. Here are the BRIC hours:

Monday-Thursday: 6 a.m. – midnight
Friday: 6 a.m.-10 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Sunday: 10 a.m. – midnight

Are BRIC membership fees automatically added to registration fees?
Yes.  For the majority of students,  a mandatory auxiliary fee is included in your Cal Poly Pomona registration fees, not to be confused with tuition fees, which are the fees for your classes (please refer to the “Union” fee listed under Auxiliary Fees on the Fee Schedule).  Paying this fee as part of your total Registration Fees entitles you to free membership to the BRIC.  Once you register for school each quarter, your membership at the BRIC is renewed as well.

Which group fitness classes will the BRIC be offering and is there a separate fee?
All BRIC members and guest are eligible to participate in group fitness classes. Group fitness classes are FREE and most do not require advanced sign-up. Some of the classes offered include: Body Sculpt, Trim N Tone, Zumba, U-Jam Fitness, Spinning, Jazzercise, Pilates, Yoga, Core Express, Cardio Combat and more! Are Cal Poly Pomona (CPP) Faculty and Staff eligible members of the BRIC?
Yes, CPP Faculty and Staff are eligible to be members or guests of the BRIC. The quarterly membership fee is $140 (equivalent to the students’ mandatory registration fee) and one day guest passes are available for $15. Additional guest pass options are also available. Are CPP Alumni eligible members of the BRIC?

Where can I get more information about working at the BRIC?
Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) Campus Recreation is the department that operates the BRIC. When Campus Recreation has an open position, they will have a job posting located on the ASI Human Resources webpage. There, you will find positions available for students and full-time professional staff with ASI. Be sure to look for positions with Campus Recreation as those positions will be held in the BRIC.
